The feeder has a seal (8) situated in a receiver channel (9) lying between the rear side of the feed plate (1) and the cooling vessel plate (3). Air openings (7) are provided in the feed plate. Welding zones (10) are arranged near the seal for the connection of the feed plate to the cooling vessel plate by spot welding, laser welding or impulse welding. Sealing rings (8) are introduced into the air openings.
