The invention pertains to an electrode material for potentiometric or amperometric electrochemical sensors. The material in question has the chemical composition Ln1-zA1-xBxO3 in which Ln is at least one lanthanide cation or a mixture of rare-earth cations; A is at least one trivalent transition metal; and B is at least one tri- or bivalent redox-stable cation.
