A plumbing fitting comprising a first part being a pressing of sheet metal and a second part being a pressing of sheet metal, the first and second parts being connected together so that the first part provides a first limb and the second part provides a second limb of the fitting. A method of making a pressing including the step of taking a component having a first end part of tubular configuration of a first diameter and acting thereon to form at least the end part to a second, smaller diameter.
