<p>A prophylactic or therapeutic vaccine for use in protecting mammals such as humans or animals is described. The vaccine is based upon the glycoprotein D (gD) of simian herpes B virus. Specifically, the vaccine comprises gD of B virus or a fragment or variant thereof which is capable of producing a protective immune response in a mammal to which it is administered, or a vector which includes a nucleotide sequence which encodes such a protein, fragment or variant.</p> |
