The invention comprises a laminate table top 1 with built- in doily 2. According to a preferred embodiment, the doily 2 is constituted by four parallel end-rounded steel rods 3, each realized with two grub screws 6, the individual steel rods 3 being fitted in corresponding depressions 4 in the table top 1 and fastened to the table top 1 by, on the one hand, a glue layer 5 and, on the other hand, a fixing of nuts 7 onto the grub screws 6 on the bottom side of the laminate table top 1. <IMAGE>
