PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a connector capable of changing the direction of leading out a flexible printed circuit board in the vicinity of a connector main body in a connector for a flexible printed circuit board. SOLUTION: This connector for a flexible printed circuit board has a connector main body 1 in which a contact 2 is housed, a lock plate 3 slidably supported in the opening of the connector main body 1 and a guide member 11 in which a guide piece part 14 for restricting the direction of leading out a flexible printed circuit board 8 inserted into the opening of the connector main body 1 to be brought into contact with the contact 2 is formed. The guide member 11 can be locked to both or either one of the connector main body 1 and the lock plate 3.
