The brassieres has cups (2, 3) which can contain a right or left side prosthesis and are attached to a band (1) of material beneath them, with a front fastening of hooks and eyes running the whole height of the brassiere. The band (1) is made from a stretch lace which adheres to the body, and the fastenings are backed by a strip of cotton. The brassiere's cups are also made from stretch lace and have central seams (16, 17), and each cup is reinforced at the bottom by three strips of material (18, 19, 20) with a low stretch capacity to support the breast or prosthesis.
