PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a silver halide photographic sensitive material and an X-ray image forming method which has high sensitivity, high quality of image, and excellent developed silver color tone, and is also excellent in processing property with low replenishment and by superquick automatic developing machine. SOLUTION: This silver halide photographic sensitive material has, on a base, a layer having a solid disperse dye, and a layer having (a) an emulsion with a silver iodide content ratio of a 0.01-2 mole % in which 50% or more of the projected area consists of silver iodide bromide substantially containing no silver chloride and having 8 < aspect ratio < 100 and (111)-surface as main plane, and (b) an emulsion with a silver chloride content ratio of 50-100 mole % in which 50% or more of the whole projected area consists of a silver halide grain having 1.5 < aspect ratio < 8 and (100)-surface as main plane in this order. This X-ray image forming method comprises putting the above silver halide photographic sensitive material between fluorescent intensifying screens in which X-ray energy shows an absorbed amount of 45% or more to X-ray of 80kVp, the filling ratio of a phosphor is 68% or more and 80% or less, and the thickness of the phosphor is 135μm or more and 200μm or less, and emitting X-ray thereto, thereby exposing it.
