A material for implants, instruments or the like for use in nuclear spin tomography is to be designed in such a way that, with any geometrical form, the magnetic susceptibility can be matched to that of the ambient medium, air or water. This is achieved in that the material consists of a uniform substance of a pressed or sintered mixture and/or an alloy and/or a reaction product of at least two components of initial substances of elements of the periodic system and/or molecules and/or compounds and/or alloys. At least one component of the material has diamagnetic and at least one other has paramagnetic properties. |
