Control valve for pressure of engine oil supplied to variable valve timing system

The control valve has one inlet and at least two outlets with the solenoid driven valve element moving axially. The valve provides the timing pulses for the hydraulically operated inlet and outlet valves of the IC engine. The construction of the valve is simplified with a control groove on the outside of the valve element. The valve element is mounted in a cylindrical housing. The whole valve construction requires relatively simple machining processes.
