The video section adjusting device of a camcorder is capable of controlling pulse waveforms of luminance/chrominance signals upon their level adjustment to delete a predetermined area in a video signal section by means of white or black blanking. The video section adjusting device of the camcorder in which there are presented a first means for performing compensation for an edge distortion of a luminance signal to adjust the level of the compensated luminance signal, a second means for separating a separated chrominance signal into R, G and B signals, then separating the R, G and B signals into mixed R-Y and B-Y signals, modulating and adding the separated signals into a chrominance subcarrier, and adjusting the level of the added chrominance signal, and a mixing means in which the luminance signal and the chrominance signal are mixed, further comprises: a third means for controlling pulse waveforms of the luminance/chrominance signals upon the level adjustment therefor to delete a predetermined area in a video signal section to be in white or black blanking state.
