Passive infrared alarm system for protection of indoor valuables

The alarm device (1) with its integrated movement detectors (2-5) is placed centrally on the ceiling of the room (6). One detector (3) oriented towards a door (7), and another detector (4) towards an internal wall (8) are set to inhibit the alarm. The other detectors (2,5) are directed at a window (9) and a balcony door (10) and set to trigger the alarm. The system is operable from a distance by a radio transmission capsule. An evaluation circuit assigns priority to the first switching command from the detectors, and triggers or inhibits the alarm for an adjustable time. Power is taken from e.g. an existing ceiling or wall lamp.
