PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To output the multiplexed data at a fixed rate and to reduce the transmission delay of the private data. SOLUTION: A data multiplexing device is provided with a basic packet part generation means B, an additional packet part generation means C, and a pack generation means D. The means B selects the video data, the audio data or the padding data and generates a basic packet part where the selected data are inserted. The means C selects one or both of the private data and true padding data and generates an additional packet part where the selected data are inserted. Then the means D generates the packs via both basic and additional packet parts. The multiplexed data include the continuous packs which are generated by the means D. |
