In the sound mode switching method in a sound processing system for processing a sound signal based on a corresponding broadcast mechanism through a sound processing unit, by controlling a switching execution into a mono, stereo or dual-mode correspondingly to its broadcast mechanism for broadcast signals inputted through a plurality of channels, the method comprises the steps of memorizing a forced mode of the broadcast mechanism for a plurality of the channels at a memory unit and forcedly designating the broadcast mechanism of the corresponding channel according to the broadcast system memorized in the memory unit in switching a plurality of the channels, whereby ensuring for a user to watch TV smoothly by a forced mono system without a complicated manipulation of the user in case the smooth TV watching is difficult by a local characteristic etc.
