<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To shorten the length in the axial direction of an AC generator for charging and to miniaturize the AC generator by a method wherein an exciting winding is wound in parallel by two wires and terminals which supply an exciting current to the two wires are installed individually at the two wires. SOLUTION: An AC generator for charging is provided with an exciting winding 1, with a fixed winding 2, with a regulator 10 containing a semiconductor switch circuit 3 which switches and controls an exciting current to be supplied to the exciting winding 1 and with a rectifying circuit 4 for a current generated in the fixed winding 2. Then, the exciting winding 1 is wound in parallel by two wires, and a terminal F1 and a terminal F2 which supply the exciting current to the two wires are installed individually at the two wires. When the exciting winding is wound doubly in this manner, the winding width of the winding can be set at 1/2 or lower. As a result, without changing a maximum rating, the length in the axial direction of the AC generator for charging is shortened, and the AC generator can be miniaturized.</p> |
