The assembly to carry large loads, such as heavy plant pots to be carried by several people, has two parallel carrier rods (1,2) with a cord or cable (4) to secure the load to the rods, passing wholly round the load. When the cord/cable is round the rods and the load, it is locked in place, such as by a clamp. The rods (1,2) are of aluminium, pref. with a plastics coating such as of polyethylene. The ends of the rods (1,2) are covered by caps (3).
