The measuring device uses optical filter grids and optoelectronic detectors, converting the received light energy onto a corresponding current or voltage signal, with the signal waveform and frequency used for determining the object velocity and its phase evaluated for determining the travel direction. The image information of the object (1), or object surface, is processed via a grid structure with a grid amplitude defined by an envelope curve, symmetrical to the edges of the grid. The image information is divided into at least 4 regions, processed in pairs to provide orthogonal complex output signals, providing calculated phase angles used to determine the velocity. |
