The pump (5) draws water from an outlet (2) near the floor of the pool (1) and recirculates it either directly (7), or via a filter (9) or to a wall-cleansing robot (R) according to the settings of stop valves (V2,V1,V3). With the second valve (V1) alone open, the pump runs at normal speed delivering filtered water at the nominal rate. With the first valve (V2) open, a higher frequency of supply to the pump motor ensures a stronger flow for swimming against the current. With the third valve (V3) open, a lower frequency provides only the amount of water necessary for cleansing by the robot. The frequencies are switched by a selector (10).
