PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently carry out measurement of rotating rate spectrum of plural cells of yeast, etc., in good accuracy and reproductivity. SOLUTION: A yeast in a specimen on a slide 16 is rotated by a rotating electric field generated by a programmable oscillator 10. The enlarged image of the yeast is obtained by a microscope 14 and the image is photographed by a video camera 12 and recorded by VTR 22. Then, the recorded image is reproduced by VTR 22 and the reproduced dynamic image is taken in as image to be treated at a ratio of 1 frame to 6 sections by a personal computer 30 and the following treatment is carried out. Average concentration value (m) and dispersion amount (δ) of concentration in background area in image to be treated are calculated and oval area corresponding to yeast is detected in the image to be treated by binary treatment, etc., using the calculated value as threshold. Then, changing amount of inclination of long axis in the oval area is obtained while carrying out assignment of the oval area among images to be treated based on gravity of oval area and rotating rate of the yeast is calculated from the changing amount. |
