PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To produce an electrogalvanized steel sheet without any partial difference in luster and color tone of the surface, excellent in uniformity and useful as the outside sheet of the various car bodies such as an automobile body, the casing material of an OA equipment or building material. SOLUTION: In the optional observation region of the surface of a plating layer in an electrogalvanized steel sheet, the ratio of the total area of the region to the area of the region where a zinc single crystal having >=5μm length is grown with fixed directivity is controlled to <=70%. An electrogalvanized steel sheet excellent in uniformity of the plating appearance is obtained in this way.
