PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an image forming device, with which a high quality image having small positional deviation between beams. SOLUTION: A beam A 110, which passes through an fθlens 104 and goes ahead in a main scanning direction, and a beam B 111 which follows the beam A, are received by a beam sensor 105, which outputs a detection signal DETP 1 to a write clock generating circuit 107 when a beam is detected. The write clock generating circuit 107 measures a hour between the time, at which the beam A 110 has been detected, and the time, at which the beam B 111 is detected so as to compare the measured hour with a reference hour and output respectively write blocks at peaks CLKa and CLKb. At this time, the write clock generating circuit 107 outputs a plurality of clocks, the phases of which are different from each other, as the write clocks CLKa and CLKb. In addition, the write clock generating circuit 107 corrects write scale factors by generating the write clocks.
