<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a two-component developer preventing the lowering of density, the occurrence of voids and fogging with the lapse of time as well as in an initial stage and capable of maintaining high developing performance over a long period of time. SOLUTION: The toner of this two-component developer is a toner obtd. by adding fine particles of 20-100nm average particle diameter to the surfaces of toner particles at 20-80% coating rate. The quantity (qa ) of electric charges of the toner after the addition of the fine particles and the quantity (qb ) of electric charges before the addition satisfy the relation of|qa|<|qb|. The amt. of lightly stuck fine particles is <=30wt.% of the total amt. of the added fine particles and the amt. of tightly stuck fine particles is <=10wt.% of the total amt.</p> |
