<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To surely turn on the power source of the peripheral device and immediately shut off the power source of the peripheral device even if the peripheral device is powered on by mistake. SOLUTION: A power source controller 8 has a means which turns on the power source at a power-on request from a personal computer 3 and a means which turns on the power source by operating a power switch 7, and it is judged which means turns on the power source. When the power source is turned on at the power-on request from the personal computer 4, a procedure for confirming that the power source is turned on is followed with the personal computer 4 and when the power-on operation is affirmed, communication initialization data are interchanged to determine a communication system, but when the power-on operation is denied, the power source is shut off.</p> |
