PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To quickly perform the processing by performing a load processing and a store processing, which are accompanied with form conversion, of only required elements with respect to data composed of plural elements like objects. SOLUTION: In the database device where objects in a storage form on a secondary storage device 5 are written on a cache 2 in a calculatable form so as to be processed by an application program 1 and objects in the calculatable form on the cache 2 are written on the secondary storage device 5 in the storage form, a first discrimination means 3b discriminates whether invalid/valid elements are included at least in a part of objects held in the cache 2 or not based on state information held in the cache 2, and a second discrimination means 3c discriminates which elements in objects are invalid/valid based on the discrimination result of this means 3b. With respect to invalid elements, corresponding elements held in the storage form are converted to the calculatable form by a load means 3a and are written in the cache 2; and valid elements are converted to the storage form by a store means 3a and are written in a page cache 4, and further, they are written in the second storage device 5 by a read/write means 6a.
