Electroluminescent material (ELM), contg. polymer(s) with repeating units of formula (I), in which Ar<1>-Ar<6> = opt. substd. mono- or poly-nuclear, opt. bridged and/or condensed aryl(ene) and/or heteroaryl(ene) gps.; R<1> = H, 1-22C hydrocarbyl or Ar<7>, with Ar<7> = as for Ar<1>-Ar<6>; n = 0, 1 or 2. Also claimed is (i) a process for the prodn. of ELM, (ii) an electroluminescent device with one or more active layers, at least one of which comprises the ELM, and (iii) a polymer contg. units (I) as above.
