Apparatus for storing and dispensing crickets, as food, to a live reptile, includes a container (12) having a smooth inner surface (13). A hollow tube (20) whose length exceeds the height of the container (12), possesses a smooth outer surface and an inner surface suitable for grasping by crickets. A top (16) for the container (12) has an interior aperture for accommodating the tube (20) in a substantially-vertical attitude when inserted. A lateral aperture (26) at the bottom of the container (12) provides ingress for crickets into the tube (20) while a cap (28) at the top of the tube (20) assures that the crickets cannot escape. <IMAGE> |
