PURPOSE:To provide the title agent effective for prevention from dental caries and for oral cavity hygiene, containing polyphenol compound(s), an extract from green tea. CONSTITUTION:Polyphenol compound(s) having anti-caries fungi activity is extracted from Thea sinensis by hot water extraction or using an organic solvent such as ethanol. The polyphenol compound(s) is then added to a conventional oral cavity washing agent composition to obtain the objective agent. Incorporation of said polyphenol compound(s) will provide caries fungus proliferation-suppressive effect, leading to maintaining human healthy life. |
