Pumping System

Complex pressure programming of a fluid at a very high pressure is provided by a pumping system that employs a pneumatic amplifier pump (12) a pressure regulator (14A), and an electronic pressure control system (14). With electronic pressure control applied to a first fluid provided to the low pressure chamber of the pneumatic amplifier pump (12), the high pressure chamber of the pneumatic amplifier pump may be employed to provide a second fluid at a pressure suitable for use in solid phase extraction and in supercritical fluid applications such as supercritical fluid chromatography (SFC) and supercritical fluid extraction (SFE).
