Safety belt arrangement for vehicle seats

The arrangement has a safety belt and a winder, which is attached to a vehicle seat. The inclination of the seat, or the part of it which carries the winder, can be adjusted relative to an axis which is aligned with the centre of the earth. The winder has an acceleration sensor, with a swinging mass (15), and an inertia mass which fixes it in the correct position in relation to this inclination. The inertia mass is in the form of a disc (13) whose centre of gravity (14) is arranged on the axis for the swinging mass. The latter has an operating extension (19) on the opposite end from its centre of gravity (18), in order to displace a blocking element (20) on the disc into teeth (25) on the winder. The displacement occurs when a horizontal acceleration causes relative motion between the swinging and inertia masses.
