<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the moving responsiveness of a cylindrical gear, simplify a structure, reduce the number of part items, and improve the manufacturing/ assembling work efficiency. SOLUTION: A cylindrical gear 29 provided between a timing pulley 21 and the sleeve 24 of a cam shaft 22 is moved in the axial direction of the cam shaft 22 via a pressure receiving piston 37, and the relative rotating phase between them 21, 22 is changed. The pressure receiving piston 37 is connected to both gear structure sections 30, 31 via a support pin 42, and both gear structure sections 30, 31 are excited in the separating direction from each other by a coil spring 32 elastically provided between both gear structure sections 30, 31.</p> |
