<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To surely guide a transfer material to a fixing device and to fix the transfer material not wrinkled and meandered by uniformly applying the load of the transfer material to a guiding member, so as to pivotally move it and control the peripheral speed of the fixing device. SOLUTION: The guiding member 12 whose width is larger than that of a maximum-size transfer material, to guide the transfer material to the fixed position of the fixing device. The guiding member 12 is freely pivotally moved in such a manner that one end side located on the side of a carrying means 13 is pivotally supported by a pivotal shaft 19 and regulated by a regulating member on at least one side of the guiding member, to be energized upward by a spring means 21 such as a coil spring. A detecting means 13 such as a microswitch is provided in the lower part of the guiding member 12 and detects the movement or pivotal movement of the guiding member 12 and a control means 22 controls the peripheral speed of the fixing device with the signal of the detection. When the guiding member 12 is pivotally moved by the tension of the transfer material, the fact is detected by the detecting means 13 and the control 22 receives the signal of the detection, to stop a drive source.</p> |
