PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a heat-sensitive recording body, which is excellent in chromophoric sensitivity, chromophoric density, weatherability and durability by a method wherein one or two plies of film containing at least either one of a UV absorber and an antioxidant are provided between a heat-sensitive recording layer and a protective layer by a vapor deposition method in the heat-sensitive recording body. SOLUTION: In this heat-sensitive recording body, which is produced by providing a heat-sensitive recording layer and a protective layer on a support in the order named, one or two plies of film containing at least either one of a UV absorber and an antioxidant are provided between the heat-sensitive recording layer and the protective layer by a vapor deposition method. As the vapor deposition method, vacuum deposition, sputtering deposition, ion-plating or the like by resistance heating, dielectric heating, electron beam heating or the like can be employed. Further, in order to utilize the film formation by the vapor deposition method, the antioxidant and the UV absorber being solid under normal temperature are preferably employed. Further, a single film or laminated films made of either one or both the antioxidant and the UV absorber may well be used. In the laminating method, either one of them may well be deposited ahead or both of them may well be mixed together into one layer and then deposited. |
