PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a knock-down stairs which can be easily erected at a job site even by an unskilled person, and which can be easily transported at a low transport cost. SOLUTION: Knock-down stairs comprise left and right inclined base bars 4, 4 having their lower ends which are removably attached to a base board 1, and their upper ends which are removably attached to columns 6, stair treads 10 each having at its rear an upright board, and left and right marginal end parts 10a, 10a formed therein with cut-outs extending inward from the trailing edges thereof, and retainer panels formed therein with cuts-outs extending inward from the leading edge thereof. The left and right cut-outs in the stair treads 10 are fitted on the left and right base bars, the cut-outs in the left and right retainer panels are fitted on the left and right base bars While the left and right marginal end parts of the stair treads and the left and right retainer panels are coupled together by fasteners which are inserted through holes formed therein, and accordingly, the stair treads can be attached to the left and right base bars. Similarly, upper stairs treads are successively attached to the left and right base bars, and bolts provided at the lower ends of vertical frame members 19 of a railing 20 are inserted in holes formed in the left and right marginal end parts of the stair tread parts, and are nuts are fastened thereto so that the railing is attached to the stair treads. |
