Magnetic resonance data acquisition from two sites during single scan

The method is applied to data of an arrangement of magnets including a gradient coil system (139), a polarisation magnet (140) and a whole-body RF coil (152) driven by a pulse generator (121) via a set of gradient amplifiers (127). Other signals e.g. from ECG electrodes or a breathing monitor are acquired by a physiological detection controller (129). Two sets of data from separate regions or sites are acquired and stored using different sets of pulse sequence parameters. The process is repeated until both sets of stored data are complete.
