PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a floor covering having suitably joined plies by using a copolymer wherein the percents by weight of C2 -C4 -olefin,α,β-monoethylene-base unsaturated C3 -C8 -monocarboxylic acid,α,β-monoethylene-base unsaturated C4 -C8 -dicarboxylic acid and the like are specified. SOLUTION: A copolymer comprising, in the polymerized form, a) 70-90wt.% of at least one kind of C2 -C4 -olefin and b) 10-30wt.% of at least one monomer selected from the group consisting ofα,β-monoethylene-base unsaturated C3 -C8 - monocarboxylic acid,α,β-monoethylene-base unsaturated C4 -C8 -dicarboxylic acid and an anhydride of these mono- and dicarboxylic acids, is used as an fixing agent between a first material comprising, in the polymerized form, at most 70wt.% of at least one kind of C2 -C4 -olefin and a second material comprising, in the polymerized form, at least 70wt.% of at least one kind of C2 -C4 - olefin.
