摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize sure end easy assembly with simple structure by fitting a sub plate to one side differential case end surface to which the other side differential case is to be fitted, conducting in a predetermined initial state the assembly of a multi-plate clutch to be push-pressed axially by means of a conical spring or the like. SOLUTION: A sub plate 9 is fitted by means of a fitting bolt 10 to a differential case 1A end surface 1C to which a differential case 1B is to be fitted, and by the thrust force of a conical spring 8 compressed due to a predetermined axial distance between the sub plate 9 and a well surface 1E of the left differential core 1A, fixed differential limit torque to couple a multi-plate clutch 7 is obtained. Simultaneously, the sub plate 9 is made to butt against a back washer 15 of a left side gear 5, and pinion gears 3, 4 are made to bear meshing reaction between right and left side gears 6, 5, and the multi-plate clutch 7 side is not affected with the reaction, and fixed differential limit torque is obtained at the time of idling. Thus, sub assembly of the multi-plate clutch 7 including the conical spring 7 is realized and easy assembly can be accomplished.
