<p><PICT:1122899/C1/1> The half-moulds 5 of a glass bottle blowing machine are cooled by air from the hollow jaws 3 of the mould holders. The jaws have perforated inner walls 11 arranged at a constant distance from the mould exterior. As shown, air is supplied by hoses 2 but in a second embodiment (not shown) an aperture on the frame of the machine aligns with one on each moving jaw, the contact between the two parts being normal to the plane of the mould joint. In each case movement of the mould half to open or to close the mould does not vary the cooling arrangements.</p> |
