The machine consists of a 1 HP 40 r.p.m. reducer with a facility to change the direction of revolution. A 5 cm diameter pulley is mounted on the shaft which is connected via a trapezoidal belt to a 40 cm diameter pulley. Two pulleys of diameter 16 cm and 8 cm are fixed, concentrically, to pulley number 15. From the 8 cm diameter pulley, motion is transferred to the wheels of the vehicle through the belt and the arrangement of pulleys 17, 23 and 20 and with the aid of the tensioner, number 18. Motion is transferred from pulley number 13 via the belt and the tensioner 18 to pulley 12. Pulley 11, diameter 8 cm, is concentric to pulley 12. A wire rope is fitted to and moved by pulleys 11 and 33, which moves the support base number 31, also pulling the motor 2 via the brace 5. For easy transport and storage of the machine, the mast folds through the articulation 7 to a height of 1.30 m. Thus the dimensions of the machine become 35 x 54 x 130 cm. This machine eliminates hard manual work by the electrician using a hammer and chisel to open channels in masonry for the installation of conduits/boxes for the construction of interior electrical installations in buildings, factories, homes etc. |
