FIELD: microwave engineering. SUBSTANCE: filter for suppression of interfering microwave signals from supply lines laid into a screened unit or chamber has a casing, conductors, and a thin dielectric partition with metal coatings on both its sides. Slots in the form of elongated ellipses turned by an angle of 90relative to each other are cut through the coating around the conductors on both partition sides. Electric field vector of an interfering signal is reflected from the partition to generate conductor currents which are opposite to interfering current. By this means the filter permits the passage of direct and low-frequency currents and retains microwave currents. The slots serve as insulators in the low-frequency range. At the same time polarization decoupling by turning the slots relative to each other prevents penetration of microwave fields re-radiating through the slots. EFFECT: improved design. |
