METHOD FOR PREVENTING THERMAL DEFLECTION OF HEAT RESISTANT POLYESTER CONTAINER

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the deterioration in heat resistance of a heat resistant container of a blend of PET(polyethylene terephthalate) and PEN(polyethylene naphthalate) caused by moisture absorption after storage for a long period of time. SOLUTION: A heat resistant container with a thin wall which is formed by the drawing blow molding of a preform of a blend of PET and PEN is dried for a specified length of time before high temperature filling with contents. Thermal deflection during filling due to moisture absorption is prevented by the drying.
