METHOD FOR CLEANING AND DISINFECTING CONTACT LENS

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simultaneously carry out the removal of protein as a contaminant and disinfection. SOLUTION: A liq. cleaner for a contact lens contg. an effective amt. of proteinase, 15-60w/v% propylene glycol, 10-60w/v% glycerol and water is used. The total amt. of the propylene glycol and glycerol is 30-80w/v%. The liq. cleaner is diluted with a soln. for disinfection or preservation of a contact lens contg. an ionic antibacterial agent and a contact lens is immersed in the resultant dilute soln.
