PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tilt device having an inexpensive structure, in which positional adjustment and change of a trim sensor for detecting the height of a ship propulsion machine in lifting are facilitated. SOLUTION: A swivel bracket for supporting a ship propulsion machine is attached to a clamp bracket 8 to be fixed to a hull so as to be vertically turned. A tilt shaft 9 to be taken as the center of the turning movement of the swivel bracket is fixed to the clamp bracket 8. A trim sensor 20 is attached to the tilt shaft 9 by a screws. The trim sensor 20 is provided with a sensor arm in which a contact 25 to be always brought in contact with the swivel bracket is provided, and the angle of turning movement of the swivel bracket is detected by the angle of the turning movement of the sensor arm. Head parts 23a of the screws are exposed toward the front part of the hull in the normal position where the ship propulsion machine supported to the swivel bracket is lowered into the water, and the sensor main body 21 is also exposed. |
