PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To boost the information processing unit in a state before rewrite when the information processing unit is restarted even when a power failure or the like takes place during rewrite of an operating system in a flash memory. SOLUTION: A CPU 108 copies an operating system stored in a flash memory 106 to an idle area of a flash memory 105. The copying of the operating system is stored in a storage circuit 104 and an information storage circuit 1012 backed up by a battery. While the information of representing the copying as above is stored in the information storage circuit 1012, an access conversion circuit 1011 of a bridge circuit 101 converts a read request stored in the flash memory 106 of the CPU 108 into a read request of the operating system copied in the flash memory 105. The CPU 108 rewrites the operating system stored in the flash memory 106, based on rewrite information of the operating system read out of an FDD 103. |
