PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a highly efficient fixed bed lifting type reactor for culturing, utilized in various fields such as fermentation, foods, chemistry, biochemistry and environmental purification by arranging a organic carrier for immobilizing organisms in the fixed bed lifting type reactor for culturing in the parallel direction from the flow direction of a gas and a liquid at a regular interval, applying a magnetic field suitable for the organisms to the carrier for immobilizing the organisms, enhancing the contact effects on the solid with liquid and thereby proliferating the organisms at a high concentration. SOLUTION: This fixed bed lifting type reactor is obtained by installing a culturing tank body 1, a separating cylinder 2 for separating a gas, a liquid and cultured organisms in the upper part of the tank body 1, assembling a carrier 4 for immobilizing the organisms according to prior applications (Japanese Patent Application Hei No. 5-245662) and (Japanese Patent Application Hei No. 7-149360) in a hexagonal type assembling metallic fixture 20 in the interior of the culturing tank body 1, arranging the carrier 4 parallel at a regular interval in the flow direction of the gas and liquid, thereby enhancing the contact effects on the solid with the liquid and simultaneously making a circulating liquid flow from the lower part of the culturing tank body 1 thereinto with a pump 16 for the circulating liquid. Thereby, the oxygen transfer volume coefficient can be raised to prevent barriers due to bubbles and excessive organisms by ventilation of air with crushing blades 14 for controlling scums in the upper part.
