PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a clamp assembly unit reinforced to be improved for mounting a cross brace between side frames. SOLUTION: Paired axles 12, 14 and a pair of side frames 10 are provided. A bolster 16 is extended between the side frames, a body of a rail car is supported. Braces 18, 20 connected to the side frame are provided, relative lengthwise direction moving of the side frame is controlled. The brace includes a pair of struts, to be connected by diagonally crossing with the side frame. The strut is crossed in almost the center of the side frame, a clamp assembly unit 30 for connecting the strut to each other is provided, a pair of clamp plates are provided, each of the plate has a groove part receiving the strut. Each clamp plate is welded to the strut, a tightening fixture directly mounting an opposed surface in each other is provided. The clamp assembly unit inhibits relative moving of the strut in almost a horizontal surface, permits relative moving limited in a vertical surface, and receives twist moving between the side frames. |
