The metal framework has frame parts filled with glass panes or panels (6) and consists, on the side facing the building, of intersecting profiles (1), and on the outside of covers (3) for the panel edges, coupled to the profiles. Couplers (2) of low thermal conductivity are inserted between the profiles and covers. The structure also contains sealing strips (5,7) between all elements. Each intersecting profile consists of a metal profile (1a) and a profile (1c) of low thermal conductivity, coupled to it on the side facing the glass panel and carrying the sealing strips on the profile facing side. It is integrally formed with the coupler.
