Plastic induction manifold for fixing to IC engine

The induction manifold has a flange zone with borings (14,15) inside it, in the fixing direction, at the side of the flange. The sealing zone (20) of the flange has a shaped seal. The seal may be made from silicon, or may be sprayed on. The flange region, of at least one longitudinal side of the flange zone, may have at least one centring and/or fixing lug (16,17). The height of the flange should be at least 30 mm. There may be reinforcing sheets on the flange.
