<p>A socket for a printed circuit board is provided which enables the printed circuit board to be readily and positively attached and detached. A socket (10) for a printed circuit board is disclosed, comprising a pair of latch arms (16) each having an integral structure of a cam section (68) and a latch section (70) adapted to be returned back to its initial position when the latch section (70) is moved to a disengaged position where the latch section (70) unlatches the side edge portion of the printed circuit board (8), a pair of support arms (18) extending in a manner to create a gap relative to the latch arm (16), and latch guides (20) each mounted on the corresponding support arm (18) and having a guide section (42) for slidably guiding the latch arm (16).</p> |
