Tetrahydro-betacarboline derivatives of formula (I), wherein R<1> and R<2> independently are hydrogen, alkyl, cycloalkyl, alkoxy, aralkyl, halogen, halogenalkyl, nitro, alkylthio; R<3>, R<5> and R<6> independently are hydrogen, alkyl, alkenyl, or cycloalkyl; and R<4> is (a), wherein A-B-C together with the benzene ring forms a five-membered heterocyclic ring comprising one or more N-, O- or S- atoms, and optionally substituted; and R<7> and R<8> independently are hydrogen, halogen, alkyl, alkenyl, nitro, CN, halogenalkyl or cycloalkyl, are useful in the treatment of disorders influenced by dysfunctions of the 5-HT2C receptors. |
