PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To avoid stress concentration on the corner part of a step part so as to improve durability by connecting the cut part on the back side of the outer circumferential part of a disk to a non-cut face through a rounded part, in a steel wheel in which a rim ending the one end at a bead sheet is joined to the outer circumferential part of a disk of a rim flange shape by welding. SOLUTION: A rim 12 is formed so that a flat plate is rounded by means of a coiler and the like, the end parts are butt welded into a cylindrical material, and a rim shape is made through forming. Meanwhile, in a disk 11, the outer circumferential part 11a is formed into the form of a rim flange, but a cut part 11c being cut from the inner circumferential face of a rim bead sheet 12b to the inner position in the radial direction is provided on the back side in the axial direction of the outer circumferential part 11a of the disk 11. The cut part 11c is provided so that it is connected to a non-cut face 11e on the inside face in the axial direction of the disk 11 through a rounded part 11d, and under the condition in which the end face in the axial direction of the rim bead sheet 12b of the rim 12 is brought in contact with the cut part 11c, the rim 12 is integratedly joined with the disk 11 by welding 13. |
